Zombie AF1 Highs
Of course these zombie customs were created in time for Halloween, but what makes them extra special is I got to film a video with Angelus Direct in LA making these! They even got washed up in the waves at Santa Monica Pier, what a way to wear-test the paints, am I right?!
New Techniques
Here at CESTLAVIC we run off of science, creativity, and a bucket load of curiosity, so our favorite thing to do is EXPERIMENT! This was one of the very first projects where we showed that you could dye rubber soles with leather dye at add colour instead of painting them (of which the paint would eventually peel off).
Process
The process of designing and creating a custom sneaker can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2+ months! This pair took 20 hours non-stop to paint and more if you add on the time it took to plan out the two different sides.
